About Woodlands Cottage

Close in distance, yet far from the hustle and bustle of London’s streets, this two-bedroom cottage is the perfect ‘get away from it all’ place to stay.

Woodlands Cottage was built in 1868, for the estate’s game keeper at the time and now hosts a comfortable stay with two bedrooms, countryside inspired interiors and a cosy stove in the lounge. There’s even room for two dogs.

During the summer holidays, why not get involved in the family-friendly things to do at Nymans.

You’ll be nestled in the centre of Nymans woods, excellent for walking, cycling, bird and wildlife watching. There are woodland paths to follow revealing a tranquil lake, cascades, sandstone outcrops and giant redwood trees. Beyond the woods at the top of the hill is Nymans, with its house, ruins and world renowned gardens.

Nymans is situated in the Weald and close to the Ashdown Forest. From the cottage you can drive 30 minutes to the beach and historic Lanes of Brighton or to the extensive biking and walking trails of the South Downs.
