Enhanced facilities for disabled visitors

Many places in our care have accessible toilets, hearing loops, ramps, level access and other features to make visiting easier for disabled people. You can find details of these in the Access section on the visitor information section on the webpage of each place. However, the places below have some extra, more specialised facilities.

Properties with Changing Places

Changing Places toilets are larger facilities that have equipment designed to support disabled people who need assistance. Equipment provided includes a changing bench and a hoist.

Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum, Devon
At Arlington Court, there are two accessible toilets with baby changing facilities. One is in the main toilet block and the other is in the New Wing at the Carriage Museum.Visit Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum
Attingham Park, Shropshire

Belton Estate

Fell Foot, Cumbria

Nostell, West Yorkshire
A Changing Place facility is available at Nostell.Visit Nostell
Nymans, West Sussex
At Nymans, there's a unisex Changing Place toilet in the café toilets. A Radar key is not required for access.Visit Nymans

Spaces to Change

A Space to Change is a facility that's smaller than the expected size of a Changing Place and may not have all the facilities a Changing Place needs to have.

Acorn Bank, Cumbria
The Space to Change accessible toilet is equipped with a hoist and bed, and is located within the courtyard at Acorn Bank.Visit Acorn Bank
Dunham Massey, Cheshire

Seaton Delaval Hall
An accessible toilet is available in the Brewhouse at Seaton Delaval Hall, which is right-hand transfer and includes a safety alarm.Visit Seaton Delaval Hall
Quarry Bank, Cheshire
There is a Space to Change at Quarry Bank. The accessible toilet in the mill yard is 2.4 m by 3.5 m wide and the door has assisted opening.Visit Quarry Bank
