Moseley Old Hall wouldn’t be the same without our team of brilliant volunteers. Whether helping in the garden, as a tour guide or in visitor reception there’s plenty to get stuck into. Discover how to get involved and what could be in it for you.

We’re looking for new ways for volunteers and local communities to get involved here at Moseley, in a safe and engaging way.

What roles are available at Moseley Old Hall?

Whether you’re looking to build your CV, keep busy in your retirement or give back to a cause you care about, we can find a role for you.

We have lots of roles available this year:

What is instant volunteering?

Do you want to get involved here at Moseley Old Hall but can’t commit to a regular time? Instant volunteering may be just the thing for you.

Instant volunteering provides opportunities to get involved for one-off occasions, if you’re unable to commit your time, want to have a 'taste' of volunteering, or to help from home if you are not quite ready to get back out and about. This could be through craft or research projects.

Volunteering open days

At our volunteer open days you’ll be able to have a hot drink and chat to the team about volunteering at Moseley, get to know the site through guided tours and even ‘fast track’ through the sign-up process.

Don't worry if you’re not ready to sign-up straight away, you’re welcome to take away volunteering information and sign-up sheets.

Eating and shopping at Moseley Old Hall 

The tea-room is open for takeaways and outdoor seating, serving a range of hot and cold food and drinks. Hot food is served from 12 noon until 3pm. Stop by the second-hand bookshop to pick up your next read.
