Our delicious Stables café, well-stocked shop and cosy second-hand bookshop, all have plenty for you to taste and see. Get the full Osterley experience by coming along to socialise, grab a coffee or curl up behind a book and even spoil your loved ones with gifts you can’t find elsewhere.
Located in the centre of the courtyard, the Stables Café invites all visitors to warm up inside or enjoy the outdoors with a freshly baked treat in hand. With a variety of hot drinks, sweet and savoury snacks to choose from, there is something to satisfy everyone’s tastebuds.
Our seasonal menu has a host of treats on offer for the adventurous tasters and festive food lovers. Each month there is a new scone of the month to try. All year-round favourites like Victoria sponge cake, soup and jacket potatoes come highly recommended for new and regular visitors.
Seats can be found inside the Stables Café, outside in the courtyard and in the secluded walled terrace to the back.
Tucked in a bright corner of the Tudor stables, the historic brewhouse, houses a selection of Jude’s finest ice cream to be enjoyed in the warmer months.
Visitors craving a cooler dessert can have a scoop or two of delicious Ice cream in a tub or a cone. Flavours such as Salted Caramel, Mint Chocolate, Madagascan Vanilla and even more also come in plant-based options.
The Brewhouse Ice cream parlour may become the perfect treat after a park run or walk in Osterley’s gardens.
Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.

Many of our items are handmade or made from sustainable goods. You might have already felt our unbelievably soft, thick, and cosy warm throw made from recycled plastic bottles.

Nurture nature with wildflower seed cards and pick up a new gardening book for beginners and experienced enthusiasts. We have an extensive range of children’s books and toys for all ages.

Run by volunteers who are ready to show you around and answer any query's you have; the Brewhouse Bookshop has a range of pre-loved books to explore. From timeless prints to current favourites, you might find the novel you have been searching for right at Osterley.
There is always an opportunity to discover new authors and genres to diversify your reading palette and even gift a loved one who loves a good read.
When donating books, we accept books that are in good condition, particularly children’s books, travel, art and history, although most subjects are welcome. A maximum donation of two bags with books per person is most welcome. We are always looking for a children’s books in particular.
