We have a small play area with a wooden castle near the orchard.

Our second-hand bookshop can be found on the first floor landing of the hall whenever its open.

Assistance dogs only in the hall.

Benches are dotted through the gardens, or bring a picnic blanket to spread on the grass in the nuttery.

Toilets are located near the parterre (formal ornamental garden).
Mobility parking on onsite car park. Access to the lower gardens and toilets are via steps. Alternative route available – ask a team member.

- Take A1 junction 64 (A195), continue over Princess Anne Interchange roundabout. Left at Biddick Lane roundabout, then follow brown signs. From A19 and other routes follow 'Washington', join A1231 until you pick up brown signs.Parking: Free parking available on The Avenue beside the property. About Washington Old Hall
At the heart of historic Washington village this picturesque stone manor house and its gardens provide a tranquil oasis, reflecting gentry life following the turbulence of the English Civil War.
The building incorporates parts of the original medieval home of George Washington's direct ancestors, and it is from here that the family took their surname of 'Washington'.
Much used and loved by local people, including a hugely supportive Friends organisation.
