Access is via Dalby Forest Drive 2.5 miles north of Thornton-le-Dale, toll payable (inc. National Trust members), open 8am-8pm every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Details at www.forestryengland.uk/dalby-forest. Nearest car parks: Bridestones and Staindale Lake.
On foot
2.5 miles from the Hole of Horcum car park (A169) to the Bridestones via Old Wife's Way track. Free entry to Dalby Forest when you visit car-free.
By train
Nearest station - Malton, 12 miles. Bus connections from York.
By bus
The Coastliner bus and Moorsbus pass close to Dalby. Free entry to Dalby Forest when you visit car-free.
By bicycle
12 Miles from Malton train station (hilly).
