The Roundhouse
Through a partnership between the National Trust and Canal & River Trust, the Roundhouse in Birmingham has been revived as a hub for city tours.

The Roundhouse building is accessible to wheelchair users. Please be aware that the Roundhouse courtyard is built on a steep slope and is laid to cobbles. It is therefore uneven under foot. However, there is a clear route designed to be accessible for wheelchair users, pushchairs and visitors with restricted mobility. Step free access to all public areas inside the building.

About The Roundhouse
The Roundhouse is now open and welcoming visitors.
Please note that the majority of the Roundhouse building has been transformed into office space. There is a Visitor Centre with a display space which is free to enter for all visitors. National Trust members get discounts when booking tours and activities.

The Roundhouse is one of Birmingham's most distinctive buildings. Built in 1874 by the Birmingham Corporation it was originally used as a stables and stores. Designed by architect W.H.Ward, the distinctive horseshoe shaped building is a curious survivor of Birmingham's victorian past.
Thanks to National Lottery players and the support of National Lottery Heritage Fund, as well as a grant from Historic England, the National Trust and Canal & River Trust have given the Grade ll* listed building a new life.
The site has become a place to work and a place to visit; providing a range of lettable office space, and acting as a focal point on the city's canals. The visitor programme encourages people to explore Birmingham on foot, by bike and on water through a range of guided tours.
