We'll give you all the training you need, with regular sessions to help you update your knowledge and familiarise yourself with Avebury. There are lots of opportunities to meet up with other volunteers, with regular socials, trips and a Christmas party.
There's no fixed amount of shifts to cover or hours to volunteer - we're very flexible, and most roles have an online rota so that you can sign up to as much as you wish.
Here are a few examples of the different volunteer roles available:
Room guides have a vital role to play in bringing places to life, inspiring visitors and helping them learn more about Avebury in an interesting and enjoyable way.
Welcome volunteers provide a warm welcome for all visitors, answer any immediate questions, help them to orientate themselves and give them the information they need to ensure they have an enjoyable visit.
