White Admiral walk at Comer Woods

Follow the pink waymarkers to guide you on this relaxing 1.5 mile amble through the woodland. Perfect for spotting White Admiral butterflies feeding on bramble flowers in high summer.

Start point

Comer Woods car park

Step 1

Leave the car park and head right towards Heath Meadow.

Step 2

Follow the path on the right and head uphill before you get to the meadow.

Step 3

Go straight over at the cross roads and continue uphill along a small cut through the trees.

Step 4

When you reach Five Ways, turn right and follow the surfaced trail through the tall conifer trees.

Step 5

Continue straight ahead following the surfaced trail downhill.

Step 6

Turn right and follow the trail downhill through the tall Beech trees.

Step 7

Turn right just before the bench and head uphill through the Douglas Fir trees.

Step 8

Turn right off the surfaced trail and head uphill, then bear left towards the cross roads.

Step 9

Follow the path downhill. At the bottom of the hill bear right towards the car park.
