National Poetry Day at Bateman's

Listen to a selection of Kipling’s poetry, recited in the place which inspired the writing.

Celebrate this year's National Poetry Day at the home of writer Rudyard Kipling by sitting back and listening to some of the author’s much-loved poetry and verse.

Thursday 3 October, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.

Poetry reading takes place in the house kitchen.

What to bring and wear

Please wear clothing appropriate to the weather.

Accessibility

The House kitchen is accessible through the downstairs of the House and through the shop. There are a few steps in the shop, but an access ramp can be set up. Please see the access pages at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/batemans for further information. Chairs are provided.
