Simple group accommodation that’s a short five-mile drive to Bridgnorth and within easy distance of the Shropshire Hills.
Situated in a quiet, remote hamlet in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, Dudmaston bunkhouse is a barn conversion to comfortable accommodation that sleeps 16 people. The bunkhouse offers all the basic facilities you’ll need for your stay including some added extras.
Once one of Europe’s busiest river ports, this stunning riverside town is famous for its historic cliff railway and interesting separation between the High Town at the top of the hill and Low Town on the banks of the river.
The bunkhouse comes equipped with a multi-functional dining / meeting room with Wi-Fi and bookable projector, so it’s perfect for meetings and arranging activities, whether that is for work or play. All the communal rooms are on the ground floor and with a wet room and accessible bedroom, everyone should feel included. The bunkhouse has nine bedrooms, so although basic facilities, guests only share a maximum of two to a room. There is a private garden located outside the main entrance and to the back of the bunkhouse is a grassed area with 3 picnic bench, two of which are wheelchair accessible.
Away from the hustle and bustle, explore the beautiful Dudmaston Estate with its acres of pristine parkland and grand hall dating back almost 900 years. Comer wood is a relaxing 10-minute walk from the bunkhouse, or why not hop on a bike and discover the mountain bike trails.
Within the local area there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained from shops, pubs and restaurants to more adventurous activities including quad biking, paint balling, golf and fishing. Further afield from the bunkhouse, you can visit the town of Kidderminister, 10 miles away, or Telford and Wolverhampton which are 16 miles away. With the Shropshire Hills on your doorstep, walkers are very well catered for with many walking routes that scour this magnificent Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
