Join your local National Trust supporter group in Wales and meet other like-minded people, enjoy special interest talks, visits, holidays and other social events all while supporting special places by fundraising and even volunteering. Getting together with other National Trust enthusiasts, members and volunteers who feel passionate about the same things is priceless. Sharing unique experiences and finding out more about the places you care about is what being part of a local National Trust supporter group is all about.
From listening to expert talks and going on behind-the-scenes tours to taking relaxing holidays or restoring natural habitats in the great outdoors, you’ll be part of something amazing. Supporter groups promote and assist the National Trust’s work within their local area and raise money for conservation and development projects through all kinds of events.
The Friends of Aberdulais Falls support a unique place that combines mid-19th century industrial heritage with spectacular natural features that attracted late 18th-century and early 19th-century artists.
Abertawe Centre (Swansea) was founded in 1973 and welcomes members from Swansea, Neath, Gower and surrounding districts.
Their objectives are to promote the charitable purposes of the National Trust and to make membership more enjoyable, effective and relevant to local members.
The Ceredigion Association was founded in 1991 and has since raised over £40,000 which has been donated to Llanerchaeron and other National Trust countryside and coastline projects in Ceredigion.
The association aims to help members get the most out of their membership in Ceredigion and to raise funds to support places and projects within Ceredigion. Some association members are also involved in volunteer work with the National Trust.
The Chirklands Association has strong ties to historic Chirk Castle. If you would like to support the National Trust locally and want to make your membership more enjoyable and effective, Chirklands is for you.
The Dyffryn Clwyd Association is a small but friendly group of National Trust members, passionate about upholding the work of the Trust.
In recent years they’ve been able to fund conservation projects at Chirk Castle, Erddig and Plas yn Rhiw. In addition, donations have been made to Craflwyn and the Neptune Appeal.
The Friends was established as a charitable organisation in the early 1980s and formally aims to encourage interest in the gardens and donating plants, equipment, books etc and to support the management in the development and management of the estate.
Fundraising is directed towards supporting the gardens and the provision of education and information programmes for all ages.
The Eryri Association takes its name from the Welsh for the beautiful area of Snowdonia in which they are based and offers supporters of the National Trust who live in Gwynedd to make more of their membership.
Members are kept informed about the ongoing work behind the scenes in their local National Trust place, Penrhyn Castle. They are invited on special visits to see the conservation and renovation work, exhibitions, work in the garden and grounds and the education department – much of which the association has supported.
The Gwent National Trust Association was founded in 1980 and has members throughout the area. They're an active association providing many opportunities to meet and take part in a wide range of activities.
The Merioneth Association’s programme offers members opportunities to discover and explore this area's heritage through a series of talks and visits.
Their fundraising has helped to fund the renovation of dry-stone walling at Craflwyn near Beddgelert and provide a replica table as part of the restoration of Egryn. They have also provided stewards to help at all of Egryn's open days.
The Pembrokeshire National Trust Association was founded in 1998. It welcomes members from all areas of Pembrokeshire and even beyond.

The Friends of Tredegar House were formed in the late 1980s and aim to spread public interest in the historical, architectural and environmental importance of Tredegar House. They also raise funds to assist with the purchase, restoration and conservation of objects on display in the House. In recent years these include:
The Vale of Glamorgan Association, formed in 1998, provides an interesting and enjoyable programme for members all year round.
The Wrexham Association are a voluntary organisation of local National Trust members, formed in 1976. Members of the association come mainly from Wrexham, Mold and Shropshire and new members are warmly welcomed.
