This year we are once again taking part in the brilliant Exmoor Dark Skies Festival hosted by Exmoor National Park, with over 60 events taking place between Friday 13 and Sunday 29 October across the moor.

This year during the festival you can:

  • Take part in an astrophotography session in the Lorna Doone Valley with our expert volunteer photographer Mark Johnson. Learning to capture the night sky in all its beauty. 21 October, 6-9 pm. No experience needed, more information and booking here
  • Head out on a night walk with the rangers, and their night vision cameras, in the Lorna Doone Valley. 27 October, at 5 and 7 pm, more information and booking here
  • Or explore Watersmeet at night, with rangers on hand to help you identify any wildlife you spot – the valley truly comes alive after dark. 23 October, at 5 and 7 pm, more information and booking herew

Spaces for these events tend to fill up quickly, so to avoid any disappointment we reccomemnd booking early.
