Outdoor theatre: Hamlet - Wed 17 July 7:30pm

Bring along a picnic and a low-backed seating and settle down amongst the roses for an open air performance of Shakespeare's Hamlet by The Lord Chamberlain's Men. Book early to avoid missing out!

Join The Lord Chamberlain’s Men this summer, in their 20th year, for Hamlet, arguably the greatest play in the English language. With a history stretching back to William Shakespeare’s original company, they present this great play as he first saw it – in the open air, with an all male cast and Elizabethan costumes, music and dance.

What to bring and wear

Dress for the weather as the performance takes place outdoors and continues in all but the very worst weather! Sun hats, sun cream, sunglasses, raincoats and rain hats should all be considered!

Accessible pathway into the rose garden and flat grass suitable for wheelchair users.

Toilet facilities in the Stableyard and Snuff Mill. Potting Shed Cafe opening time: 9am-5pm National Trust Garden Centre opening time: 10am-5pm Patrons are required to bring a chair/blanket/something to sit on. Seating is NOT provided. Only assistance dogs are permitted at this performance.
