Keep your little explorers busy on a family day out at Blickling with activities across the estate. Enjoy everything from the impressive grandeur of the Hall to playing in the garden, or walks around the estate and den building in the woods.
Planning your family visit
Here's some information to help make your family day out at Blickling as easy to enjoy as possible:
- There are plenty of buggy-friendly paths around the garden and parkland, just grab a map from visitor reception.
- Baby changing can be found at the Estate Barn in the main car park, near East Wing visitor reception and in the Farmyard area.
- Bottles and baby food can be warmed up in our cafés.
- We welcome breastfeeding everywhere at Blickling.
- High chairs, activity lunch boxes, cups and water jugs are available in the Stables café.
- If you fancy a picnic, you'll find picnic benches under and around the parade in the garden, with a big grassy space for kids to play. More can be found in the Farmyard and near the Estate Barn visitor reception at the main car park. You're welcome to bring a picnic blanket and find a spot to eat surrounded by nature.
- You'll find new family trails or fun things to look out for in the House throughout the year.
- The cycle hire hub has a variety of bikes for all ages, including electric bikes, trailers and balance bikes so the whole family can explore the parkland (open Apil to end of October).
- In warmer months, enjoy a game of croquet out in the garden.


Easter at Blickling
This spring, treat the whole family to an egg-stra special tea party adventure at Blickling Estate.
The animals at Blickling Estate are getting ready for a spring tea party, and you’re invited! Head into the daffodil-filled gardens on a family Easter tea party adventure. Complete the games and challenges around the garden to help the animals get ready for their special day.
• The cheeky robins have hidden teacups throughout the orchard, can you find them all?
• Before he can attend the party, Mr Duck needs to gather all his ducklings. Can you hook out the ducks to help him?
• Race to the animal tea party! Spin the wheel to see which creature you are, then zoom around the course by moving just like your animal.
The Easter trail takes place daily 10am to 4pm from Saturday 21 March until Sunday 29 March and 10am to 5pm from Monday 30 March until Monday 13 April, with last trails starting one hour before closing.
Prices are £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg. Whilst stocks last.
As the trail takes place in the garden, standard admission charges also apply, with free entry for National Trust members and children under 5 years old. Assistance dogs only.
*Suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.

Easter in the House
Look out for the tea party in the dining room and spot the jammy dodgers as you explore the different rooms in the House.
Easter in the parkland
The parkland rabbits are excited about the Blickling tea party in the garden this Easter. But, they were meant to take something to the party, and they can’t quite remember what it was... Can you find all seven rabbits hiding? Each rabbit can remember one letter from the item they were supposed to bring. Find them all and collect the letters to discover what it was! Enjoy some rabbit facts and opportunities to ‘spring into action’ along the way. Visit the Estate Barn in the main car park to check your answer.
