How did women contribute to the early development of Wentworth Castle Gardens? Which women not only shaped this estate, but wider society in the 17th and 18th centuries?
This guided walk is an opportunity to learn more about some of Wentworth’s significant women, both named and unnamed, whilst taking in some of the highlights of the formal gardens.
The walk is approximately 1 mile and includes several stops. It will last approximately 90 minutes.

About 75% of the paths on this walk are hard-standing. Some urban mobility scooters, buggies and wheelchairs might struggle to manage the whole route. However, the personal mobility scooters available to hire from Visitor Reception would be suitable. To book one or make further enquiries, please email wentworthcastlegardens@nationaltrust.org.uk.
