A former Victorian gate lodge to the Trelissick estate encompassed by countryside walks.
Grade II listed, Trelissick New Lodge, was built in 1860 when a new entrance was created to give a grander approach to Trelissick House. With its rounded chimneys and latticed windows, it’s a fascinating example of the Victorian picturesque style of architecture. It’s a real country retreat too, with traditional furnishings and a log-burner inside and miles of countryside all around.
Make the most of your complimentary access to the Trelissick gardens and house. On its own peninsula, with panoramic views over the Fal estuary, you’ll have miles of stunning walks on your doorstep. Many events take place here throughout the year, from archery courses to guided walks, so be sure to check them out before you go.
Take a day to head further up the beautiful Fal Estuary. Take a ferry to the harbour town of Falmouth with its wealth of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and seafront inns.
