About Gupton Farm Surf Lodge

Just a short walk from Freshwater West, one of Wales's best beaches, Gupton Farm Surf Lodge is the perfect coastal escape for adventurous guests who want to enjoy the outdoors and meet up with friends and family.  You’ll find lots of things to do right on your doorstep. Hike along the Pembrokeshire coast path, go wildlife watching at the nearby bird hide, or head straight to the beach. This wild, sandy stretch is adored by adventurers and nature lovers alike. With consistent swell and strong waves, the beach is regarded as one of Wales’ best surfing spots. If you’re a beginner, there’s a surfing school next door for instruction in surfing or stand up paddle boarding.   

The lodge is a comfortable space for ten people and two dogs, but being on a campsite your venturesome friends and family may like to join you under canvas or in their campervan and stay close by.

With its award-winning beaches, tranquil wooded valleys and outdoor activity centre, Stackpole estate is a short drive away. From kayaking to coasteering, you can try a variety of outdoor activities on the estate.

Layout

Ground floor layout

Front door opens into the entrance porch with the staircase directly ahead, a twin bedroom on the right and the sitting room with a wood burning stove on the left. The sitting room leads on to the kitchen, utility room, a shower room and boot/drying room.

First floor layout

A long passageway leads off into the four twin bedrooms, a shower room and a bathroom.

More information

Bedding/linen: A mattress protector, pillow and pillow protector are provided for each bed. Please bring your own linen, towels, tea towels and bedding. 

Garden: The cottage has a small enclosed private garden area with a picnic bench and barbecue.

Parking: There is enough parking for 3 vehicles directly outside the cottage. Additional parking is available near the campsite, approximately 100m away.

Wifi: There is no WiFi in the cottage, however, there is WiFi available at the campsite hub and the wet weather barn.

Location: The cottage is surrounded by 800 acres of working farmland. It is located within Gupton Farm Campsite which is also home to the Outer Reef surf school.

Castlemartin MOD firing range is situated close to the campsite.  They do not usually have day or night firing in the main holiday season or at weekends. You can check their website for daily activity. For those who are interested in the military, there is a view point close by to watch the daily activity.
