Since their introduction in 2023, Seaton Delaval Hall's two all-terrain mobility scooters (Trampers) have enabled visitors to explore more of the hall's grounds, and thanks to a generous gift left to the National Trust by Miss Daphne Cooter Hersey in her will, we've recently been able to buy a third.

Name that Tramper!

To help us manage bookings for the Trampers we’ve decided to name our fleet of three and we’d like your help with naming them. They might be inspired by the Delaval family and their stories. Perhaps they’re names connected to the local area. Whatever your suggestions, we want to hear them! Entries close on Friday 1 March and there are no prizes other than the glory of knowing you’ve taken part and seeing the names driving around the gardens!

To take part in the competition simply complete one of the forms at Visitor Welcome or in the Brewhouse on your next visit. The winning names will be announced the week beginning Monday 11 March via our Facebook page.
