Christmas at Avebury begins on Saturday 30 November and includes the chance to meet St. Nicholas, Christmas markets, wreath-making, and our popular winter walks around the stones.
Take a seat in the festively-decorated Dovecote to meet the traditional St. Nicholas, hear a magical Christmas story and receive a special Christmas gift.
The Meet St. Nicholas event will be held on 30 Nov, 1 Dec, 7 Dec, 8 Dec, 14 Dec, 15 Dec, 21 Dec, and 22 Dec.
Please note that the Dovecote is limited for space so every child should be accompanied by one adult only.
Tickets are £8 per child; their accompanying adult will not need a ticket.

The 2024 Christmas markets will be held on Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December, Saturday 7 December and Sunday 8 December, and Saturday 14 December and Sunday 15 December.

Leave the crowds behind and join an expert archaeologist for a winter ramble around the stone circles to learn all about the prehistory of the site and recent research into this enigmatic place?
Dr Nick Snashall, National Trust Archaeologist for the Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site, will be hosting the walks on 9 December and 13 December.

Younger visitors looking to explore Avebury can take part in two festive spotter trails at Avebury this Christmas.
Visitors to the Avebury Manor Garden will need to discover a series of birdhouses hidden in the garden's 11 different rooms.
A number of Christmas robins have also decided to set up home in the Alexander Keiller Museum. Can you find them all?
