East Titchberry circular walk

This three-mile circular route incorporates the South West Coast Path and stunning views out to Lundy and returning along the bridleway. Take in views of Shipload Bay and the nature of the Devonshire coastline.

Start point

East Titchberry National Trust car park, grid ref: SS244270

Step 1

From the National Trust car park, look towards the farm and head for the stile, at the bottom right-hand corner across the grass.

Step 2

Head through the farm entrance gate and across the yard, following the track straight ahead.

Step 3

At the end of the yard go through the gate and up the track. At the top of the track turn right and follow the South West Coast Path heading towards Exmansworthy. (For a longer walk turn left here and follow the path to Hartland Point.)

Step 4

Continue along the clifftop path and stop to look at a sign commemorating the US Airforce Bomber Crash at Eldern Point in 1943.

Step 5

Upon reaching the bridleway/coast path junction, follow the path back through the farm yard to the car park.

Step 6

Continue along the farmland path back to the car park where the walk started.
