Dogs allowed
From 1 April to 30 September, dogs on short leads (not extendable) are welcome in the garden every Thursday to Sunday inclusive. From 1 October to 31 March, dogs are welcome every day.

Located in the car park, in the garden centre and in The Dell.
Kiosk
Located in The Dell. Open weekends throughout winter. serving hot and cold drinks and snacks. Outdoor seating only
Blue Badge parking. Accessible toilets. Steep slopes, uneven steps and deep and fast-flowing water. Patchy phone signal. Wheelchairs available.
Accessible route and/or map
Rose walk: 1.5km See the formal gardens with spectacular views across the valley and down to the river while avoiding all steps. Rose way markers in garden and marked red on the map.

Accessible toilets are located in the main toilet block, adjacent to the Pavilion Tea Room, in the garden centre and in the Dell toilet block.
Steps/uneven terrain
There are some steep paths within the garden. There are many steps within the garden, which are all avoidable. Please ask at visitor reception for an access map. Some steps have handrails, historic stone steps do not.
Designated parking
Approx. 20 disabled spaces, 100 yards from garden entrance. NB: some of the parking is on a gradient. Vehicles fitted with a hoist or ramp may have difficulties when loading or unloading mobility aides. In the case of difficulties please use the pick up and drop off points at the bottom of the car park.
Wheelchairs available
Manual wheelchairs are available on a first come first served basis. Ask a member of the team in the car park as you arrive. A 'mountain trike' (MT Push) is available from the visitor reception.

Pick up and drop off points at the bottom of the car park adjacent to the Pavilion Tea Room.

Highlights
Grade I listed historic garden
80 acres including formal gardens, shrub-filled glades, meadows and woods, dells and water gardens. Home to historic plant collections.
Formal garden
A Victorian East Garden, featuring Round Garden, Parterre and famous Laburnum Arch. Edwardian Italianate Terraces of rose beds, pools and pergola garden rooms.
Meadows
The Old Park, dating back to the Georgian era, and Furnace Meadow which lies on a hillside overlooking the riverside garden.
Arboretum
The Dell, Yew Dell and Far End: Woodland walks among native and exotic trees, including magnolias and rhododendrons, and old and rare Champion Trees.
Garden architecture
The Pin Mill, 18th century Grade II listed building on the Canal Terrace; the Georgian Old Mill in The Dell and The Poem, a Victorian mausoleum in The Glades.
Eating
Pavilion and Magnolia tea-rooms with indoor and outdoor seating. Dell Kiosk serving takeaway refreshments with outdoor seating.
Bodnant Garden Centre (not National Trust)
Garden centre, next to the entrance to the world class garden, selling gifts, souvenirs and specialist plants.
Play area
Play park in the car park and natural play zone at the Far End with willow maze and den building area.

Created over 150 years, with plants collected and brought to Britain from far afield, and the incredible vision of generations of the McLaren family and Puddle head gardeners, this haven of rarity and beauty with a stunning backdrop of the Carneddau mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) is a delight for the senses.
