About Blickling Tower

This quirky holiday cottage was once the second Earl of Buckinghamshire’s race stand at Blickling. With its large, arched windows, spiral staircase, and third-floor roof terrace, it's like your own mini castle.

The Blickling Estate's Jacobean mansion is only 15-minute's walk away. With 55 acres of formal gardens, a lake and over 4,600 acres of park and farmland, there are plenty of walking and cycling trails from the doorstep. Enjoy lunch in one of the two cafés by the hall, or at the estate's country pub, The Buckinghamshire Arms, where you can sample local ales.

The sandy beaches and cliff top paths of the Norfolk coast are within a 20-minute drive, and Blakeney National Nature Reserve is 20 miles away. The Georgian market town of Aylsham can be reached within a 30-minute walk or five-minute drive.

After days out exploring the estate and local area, retire to the roof to take in expansive views that stretch across rolling fields and woodland, and out towards the coast.

More information

WiFi: This is now available, but please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and should not be relied upon. We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT.

Heating: Gas central heating included.

Parking: Available for two cars.

Garden: There is a fenced garden area.

Offers: Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 4pm at this cottage.

Please note: We do not consider this cottage suitable for children under the age of 6 due to the twin bedroom being on a different floor to the master bedroom and access to both being via the spiral stairwell. No stair-gates are provided due to the design of this building.

In July/August there may be open air concerts held on Blickling park beside the lake, this is likely to result in heavy traffic between 4pm to 11pm (Concert dates will be promoted on the Blickling Hall website).

August Bank Holiday Monday: Aylsham agricultural show is also held on the park and the local area will be busy all day/evening and possibly over the weekend before for preparation.

Outside: Farm vehicles sometimes use the drive for access to surrounding farmland.

There is a footpath passing the boundary of the property.
