Please do book in advance online, particularly during holiday seasons and at weekends, choosing your pitch type. On arrival, we'll help you choose your pitch from those available in the field as we don't allocate or reserve specific pitches. You can book for same-day arrival if pitches are available.

Quiet time is 10pm - 7am; please make sure this works for your group before booking.

We welcome organised groups like Duke of Edinburgh and Scouts. Please complete the group booking form at the bottom of the page and we'll get back to you.

Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.

We offer a car free discount if you arrive on foot, by bike or by public transport. Please retain any public transport tickets to claim the discount. Ask for details at reception when you arrive.

You don't have to be a member of the National Trust to camp and we are unable to offer member discounts due to the regulations we are governed by as a charity. If you'd like to be a member and support our work, please speak to the team at reception.

Location/directions: From the M25 eastbound at junction 5 take A21 towards Seven Oaks and Tunbridge Wells. At Chipstead junction turn left onto A25. After the village of Seal, look out for left turn onto Styant’s Bottom Road. Site is on left on this road. From the North on M25/M20 leave M25 at junction 3 onto M20 (do not continue to M25 Junction 5 as there is no westbound exit). Leave M20 at junction 2 onto A227. Turn right onto A25. After a short dual carriageway section turn right onto Styant’s Bottom Road. Site on left on this road. From Maidstone on M20/M26 leave M26 at junction 2a. Take first exit A20 to Wrotham Heath and turn right onto A25. Continue to Borough Green. After a short dual carriageway section turn right onto Styant’s Bottom Road. Site on left on this road. Approach site from A25 only. If using sat nav, use Styants Bottom Road, not the postcode.
Arriving by public transport: Borough Green and Sevenoaks train stations are around ten minutes away, offering transport to London. Kemsing Station is a five-minute drive or 25-minute walk away.

If you'll arrive late, please let us know in your booking or email the campsite.

On your day of departure, please leave your pitch by 11am. We may be able to offer a late check-out at less busy times for an additional fee. Please check at reception on the morning of your departure. If you'd like to extend your stay, please book and pay at reception before 10.30am.

The campsite is suitable for campervans, motorhomes, trailer tents and caravans up to 8m in length.

All pitches are grass, some have electric hook-up.

Some pitches will require levelling blocks.

Electric hook-up is to shared bollard points. Each pitch is allocated one socket and you'll need a 25-metre cable to make sure you can reach the bollard.

Parking is on your pitch.

We have a chemical toilet disposal facility.

Tent pitches are all grass, and some have electric hook-up.

Larger pitches are suitable for tents 5m x 7m, for up to six people (a maximum of four adults). Parking is on your pitch.

Backpacker pitches are for small tents, 2m x 2m, for up to two people.

Reception is open 9am - 5pm.
Showers and toilets: The simple facilities block has showers and toilets. There are two family shower rooms. Hot showers are free of charge. The facilities block is up a flight of stairs. The accessible toilet/shower room is in the reception building.
Washing-up area: There's an outdoor washing-up area in the facilities area. It's up a flight of stairs. Please give the area a wipe down after you've used it, so it's ready for the next person.
Laundry: There are no laundry facilities at Oldbury HIll.
Dog-wash area: The dog-wash area is next to the facilities block, up a flight of stairs.
Waste: We have general waste and recycling facilities.
Chemical waste: We have chemical toilet disposal facility near the facilities block. It's up a flight of stairs. We don't have a drive-over facility for grey waste.
Freeze packs: Sorry, we don't have a facility to freeze ice packs.
Gas cylinders: Sorry, we don't exchange gas cylinders. Please take empties home as we're unable to dispose of them.
Electric Vehicle charging: Sorry, there's no electric vehicle charging at Oldbury Hill. Zapmap will help you find the nearest point.
Parking: You can park your car on your pitch, unless you have booked a backpacker pitch.
Wi-Fi: There's no Wi-Fi.
Mobile phone signal: There is mobile phone signal at the campsite.
Local information: There's a local information point in reception, and the team is very happy to answer questions and give more information about the local area.
We welcome dogs free of charge, two per pitch. Let us know when you book. When at the campsite, please keep your dog on a lead at all times and exercise them away from other campers. Please pick up after your dog right away and use the waste bins provided. There's a dog-wash area next to the facilities block, up a flight of stairs.
There is no burning of wood at Oldbury Hill, so campfires and fire pits are not allowed. Charcoal barbecues are permitted for cooking if they are raised from the ground. Bricks are available at reception, please ask one of the campsite team if you need them. We may have to restrict the use of charcoal barbecues during very hot and dry periods, please check before your stay if you are very keen to use a barbecue.
Quiet time: Please think of your neighbours and help us protect the peace and tranquility at Oldbury Hill Campsite at all times. No noise 10pm - 7am please.
Cooking safety: Cooking inside tents is not permitted and can be lethal due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
No smoking please.
No audible devices please including radios, stereos or other sound systems please.
Group bookings: Official groups, like Duke of Edinburgh, are very welcome at National Trust campsites. Please complete the booking form at the bottom of this page.
Lost property: If you leave any of your possessions behind at the campsite, please contact us as soon as possible.
We reserve the right to charge you for any storage and delivery costs that we incur in relation to your lost property. We charge a lost property charge of £10 to cover our administrative costs and standard Royal Mail delivery up to 2kgs in the UK to return your items to you. If a request to return your items deviates from these conditions, then we reserve the right to charge you any additional costs.
Where possible, we’ll hold lost property for three months after which it’ll be disposed of. Perishables will be disposed of immediately and are therefore unreturnable. In addition, we will only be able to return items permissible by Royal Mail.
Problem or complaint: Every reasonable care will be taken to ensure that the camping pitch, pod or bothy and also site amenities are presented to a high standard. Should you find any cause for complaint, please immediately contact one of the campsite staff, so that reasonable steps can then be taken to rectify the problem. National Trust will not normally make any refunds in respect of complaints made after the Visitor’s departure from the campsite if the Visitor did not make the problem or complaint known to staff during the Visitor’s stay. If you supplied an email address at the time of booking, a survey will be emailed to you for your comments after your stay. Alternatively, a comment form may be completed and left at the campsite reception. All complaints made after the Visitor’s departure should be made in writing by post or email to:

Sevenoaks is five miles away and has banks and cash machines, shops and places to eat and drink. Both Sevenoaks and Borough Green train stations are around ten minutes away, offering transport to London. Tunbridge Wells and the well-known Pantiles Markets is 15 miles away.
We're near the M20 and less than an hour to both Dover and Folkestone.
