About Rhossili Old Rectory

For a group getaway on the coast, you can’t get much better than this historic cottage on the Gower Peninsula. Offering a panoramic view of Rhosili Bay and Worms Head Island, Rhossili Old Rectory is the only building on the world-famous bay. Built in the 1800s, the house has had an intriguing past – from its role as a base for radar workers during the Second World War, to appearing in the hit TV series Torchwood. These days, this spacious four-bedroom house is full of coastal charm with light-flooded rooms, a large kitchen for cooking up a feast, chic furnishings to relax and unwind in and cosy log burners. On a summer’s evening the garden is the perfect place to sit out for an alfresco dinner and watch the sun set over the beach.

With the beach just on your doorstep, Rhossili Old Rectory is ideal for family and friends celebrating a special occasion. Whether you want to sunbathe on the golden sands, fly a kite, build sandcastles, walk along the cliff-top or swim in the sea, Rhosili Bay can offer it all. The beach is also one of South Wales’ best surfing spots and the cottage has storage for surfboards and body boards in the outhouse.

The Rhossili Old Rectory is located halfway between the two picturesque villages of Rhosili and Llangennith - very convenient if you fancy sampling the menu at one of the village pubs. There is also easy access to the Wales Coast Path which runs immediately behind the house.
