Chandelier conservation and talks
See the chandeliers as they're lowered to the floor, watch conservation in action and find out more at the 20 minute talks.
- Booking not needed
It's time for the chandeliers to be cleaned again, the last clean this year.
The ten chandeliers will be lowered to near ground level room by room for the conservators to partially dismantle, clean and make them sparkle once again.
Come and see the conservation in action, visitors will be able to wonder through the Ball Room, Tea Room and Great Octagon (although chandeliers will be roped off when lowered) to view the conservation up close.
There will also be short 20 minute talks happening each day. Storytellers will share a brief history of Bath Assembly Rooms and the significance of the chandelier collection. There will be one talk per hour, times may vary.
