Hedgerows have been an effective and nature-friendly stock boundary for thousands of years. We restarted hedgelaying on Bathampton Meadows in 2022 and have already seen the hedges flourishing. Come and join the rangers to learn this heritage skill.

Suitability

This workshop is aimed at adults.

Meeting point

Bathampton Meadows, at the footbridge located in Batheaston. The footbridge is located in the car park (opposite the pharmacy).

What to bring and wear

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing, long sleeves and trousers, sturdy shoes with no open toes. We will be monitoring the weather forecast beforehand. Bring your own lunch.

Accessibility

Workshop will take place in an uneven field.
