From the misty marshes of Kent to the dusty, dirty streets of London, we bring you a thrilling new adaptation of Dickens’s most enduringly popular novel, packed full of high drama, mysterious goings on and all your favourite Dickensian characters.

Join us on Pip’s journey through adversity to discover the true nature of his ‘Great Expectations’ in our exciting new production of this much-loved family classic.

So, pack your picnics, grab your wet weather gear or sun-cream (or both), something to sit on, and join Frank and Gilbert as they navigate their way through car chases and convicts in the struggle to escape the clutches of the local crime lord and clear Gilbert’s name.

The performance is two hours, including a 20 minute interval.

Babies under 12 months go free.

Essential companions are welcome free of charge. Simply make the booking for your party, then email quarrybank@nationaltrust.org.uk with your request for a carer or companions ticket, including your booking reference number.

What to bring and wear

No seating is provided – please bring blankets or low-backed seating, to ensure everyone can see the stage. Performance will take place in all weather conditions

Accessibility

The event is fully accessible. To ensure all guests can see the stage, we ask that ticket holders with blankets only position themselves in front of the stage, and those on seats sit further back. This won't impact anyone's enjoyment of the performance.

Other

The Upper Garden Shop will be open until the performance starts for you to browse. The Upper Garden Café will be open throughout serving a selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice-cream.
