Collaging Canaletto - You and your own Impossible Perspective

How far can you push the perspective of some of the most iconic views of Venice?

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Canaletto was an Italian painter who painted with incredible precision, and was celebrated for his perspectives that included an almost impossible amount of detail and accuracy.

CAN, an architecture and ideas studio, have been commissioned to develop new artworks over the next year in response to Tatton Park's rich landscape, collection and connection to the Italian painter Canaletto whose paintings are part of the National Trust's collection in Tatton's mansion.

As part of Impossible Perspectives, CAN invite you to step into the landscapes of Venice at this free artist-led workshop and create a digital collage inspired by Canaletto’s intricate details using his extensive life’s work. Be immersed in your own Canaletto inspired collage and leave with your own ‘tourist’ photo inside your newly created digital world.

Times 11:30am -14:30pm

Price: The workshop is free. (Parkland vehicle entry fee applies. Save 10% when you pre-book online at https://www.tattonpark.org.uk/visit/your-visit-attraction-prices-and-tickets.aspx)

Workshop duration: this is a drop-in activity, however we recommend spending 40 minutes to get the most from it.

Location: The Knutsford Room, Tatton Park Stableyard
