Join a specialist conservator or curator on an exclusive tour of Lanhydrock's Long Gallery ceiling, which is currently undergoing major conservation.
Walk the full length of the Long Gallery ceiling and marvel at the intricate Jacobean plasterwork as you are guided through its history and conservation by a team of Lanhydrock's experts. Tickets for this tour are strictly limited so book now to secure your place on this unique tour.
Tour outline: Meet a member of Lanhydrock's House Team at the Gatehouse. 9.35am: Enter the house for an exclusive look at the conservation route before the house opens to the public. A member of the House Team will be on hand to answer any questions. 10am: Meet a conservator or curator at the Long Gallery, who will then take you up onto the scaffold. You will walk the full length of the ceiling as your guide talks about the history of the ceiling and how it's being conserved. 10.30am: Head down to the Servants' Hall for light refreshments and an opportunity to ask any final questions. 11am: Final goodbyes.
Please note that entry for the day is not included in this ticket. If you wish to visit the rest of the house and formal gardens after your tour, you will need to purchase a ticket or scan your National Trust membership card at the Gatehouse.

- What to bring and wear
The tour involves walking and some stairs so comfortable shoes are advised. Please note that bags larger than 25x7x18cm aren't allowed in the house but can be put in secure lockers before the tour.
- Accessibility
The tour involves walking, standing and some stairs and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Please note that the access buggy does not run until 10.30am so visitors will need to walk from the main car park to the Gatehouse for the start of the tour. Please call the property office with any specific requirements.
