Join us for a workshop led by Devon-based practitioner and outdoor education specialist, Richard Irvine, to explore where our water comes from, and how do we make it safe to drink? This 90-minute workshop for adults and families with children over the age of 10 will use natural materials from the site at A la Ronde to help answer those questions and think about the importance of water in our lives.
We all know that clean safe drinking water is essential for our health and survival. It is one of our most basic needs, but in the UK, most people usually don't give it a second thought. Unfortunately that is not the case in much of the rest of the world where 25% of people do not have access to safe drinking water. By exploring and collecting, we will work together to create giant water filters that we will test, modify and compare to try and purify some dirty water. Please note this workshop will take place outdoors, so we encourage you to be prepared to be outside in all weather conditions.
Normal admission applies, with no charge / free entry to the workshop itself. There are a limited number of places, so please book via our website to secure your place.
