From room guiding in the castle to our visitor centre and garden teams, there are so many ways volunteers support in caring for, and sharing the unique stories, architecture and landscape with visitors. If you’d like to find out about what volunteering means at Castle Drogo, come along to our Volunteer Open Day between 11.30am – 2.30pm on Friday 6 September. Drop by for a coffee and a chat or join for tours and tasters to give you a feel for the different roles you can get involved with.

The hydro turbine building on the River Teign will be open for you to look inside. The knowledgeable guide will be able to tell you about the history of this building along with how it was restored and how it works.
