Join artist Merlyn Chesterman and the National Trust for a guided walk around Southern Wood. Exploring the amazing wildlife and plant life that call the Lorna Doone Valley home. Collecting materials to transform into blocks for printing. Followed by a two hour bespoke workshop making hand carved printing blocks to take home and create your own nature themed masterpieces.
Merlyn Chesterman is an artist specialising in woodblock printing. She is on the Council of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers, and her work is always about the natural world.

Children must be over the age of 10 and supervised.
- Meeting point
Please meet at the Lorna Doone Valley greenhouse.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear old clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Some of the event is held outside so please bring waterproof clothing and suitable footwear.
- Accessibility
There are accessible carparking available. The walk is over undulating ground and includes a steep incline at the start. A portable hearing loop is available from the Welcome Hut.
