Create the Mossy Carpet

Have you heard about the Mossy Carpet? The Mossy Carpet is a collaborative artwork by our friends Art and Energy, inspired by moss and made by many people!

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event

Thousands of individually made pom-poms and textile tufts adorn a fleecy carpet of Dartmoor wool, creating a vibrant beautiful mossy carpet. Each moss-like pompom celebrates someone’s contribution to making the world better for all of life.

Come and add your own moss creations (wool is supplied but donations would be much appreciated). This is a free drop in activity for anyone who wishes to be part of a creative conversation for the planet.

Creative activities help us to slow down, have better conversations, imagine new things, have fun and feel more connected.

Carbon looms large, it is the giant of our times. On our own, we can feel powerless, but we can work together and want this artwork to give people inspiration, comfort and hope.

We encourage you to look closely at real mosses and their intricate beauty and ecological significance for our environment. Take them as your inspiration as you join us in making this epic artwork.
