Join Devon Rural Skills Trust to learn the basic principles of dry stone walling.

Dry stone walls are made entirely of stone with no mortar or soil. As a result of Devon's incredibly varied geology, there are many different types of wall found across the county. You'll be introduced to the basic principles of dry stone walling. You'll be working to repair a wall using basic hand tools such as lump hammers and bars. Shovels and mattocks are useful where footing need to be replaced.

- Suitability
Due to insurance requirements there is a minimum age limit of 18 on DRST courses

Sturdy boots, gloves and waterproof outdoor clothing are recommended.

The route is uneven and steep in places with some steps.
