Roll up! Roll up! Who's ready for a story 1000 years in the making?!
Tours begin at 11am, 12:30, 2 and 3:30pm in the Outer Bailey.
Join the Keeper of the Castle as you discover how clever design and strategic location made Corfe Castle fulfil its role throughout a turbulent history. At the gateway to the Isle of Purbeck, Corfe Castle has stood watch for a thousand years. It has been a fortress, prison, family home and has even drawn the attention of German spies...
During this fun and fact filled 45-minute tour you will discover some of the castle's secrets and participate in interactive challenges as you time travel through the ages from the Normans to the 1980's.
A BSL interpreter will be alongside the Keeper of the Castle, providing simultaneous interpretation. All are welcome to the tours, those both deaf and of hearing are able to join in and take part.
