Heritage Open Day at Pitstone Windmill

England’s largest festival of history and culture, Heritage Open Days is back to celebrate people, community and history. Pitstone Windmill will be joining the fun with free visits on 6 September!

One of Britain’s oldest post mills, Pitstone Windmill, invites visitors to explore its fascinating inner workings and uncover the industrial history of our local village.

From 2pm to 4pm, little ones visiting the windmill are invited to join a mini storytelling and flour grinding session.

Entry is available in 30-minute intervals, and advance booking is required through the Pitstone Windmill website.

To access the windmill, visitors must walk across a field. Access to the windmill is limited, with small spaces, stairs and a ladder.
