Dogs are allowed on all estate walks and most parts of the garden on short leads. Assistance dogs only in the house and café. Water bowls are provided around the site.

There are accessible toilets/baby-changing facilities by mansion in courtyard. Accessible Parking is available in main car park, further parking is available closer to the Mansion. Ramped access/slopes
Ramp access into Visitor Reception building. Ramp access to the house is via a separate entrance to the side of the property. One of the entrances to the café has a ramp.
Designated parking
There is designated parking in our main visitor car park, alternatively there are some spaces close to the Mansion which will need to be discussed with the Visitor Welcome team upon arrival.

An induction loop is available at the reception desk.
Wheelchairs available
There are 6 manual wheelchairs available for loan. Booking is recommended at busy times, such as school holidays or bank holidays.
By road
on A272, 1 mile west of Bramdean village, 8 miles east of Winchester. Leave M3 at exit 9 and follow signs to Petersfield.
Parking: free, please call 01962 771305 for details on disabled parking.
Sat Nav: Use post code SO24 0NH for satnav, this is the postcode for the Hinton arms pub which is 20 metres west from main entrance gates. House post code will direct you to the wrong entrance.
On foot
Arrival on foot to main gates off the A272. Make your way up the main drive way to visitor reception using the gates next to both cattle grids. Arrival from direct access from Wayfarers Way, linked to South Downs way, please report to reception at far end of the main drive on arrival.
By train
Winchester 9 miles; Petersfield 10 miles; Alresford (Mid-Hants Railway steam railway, linked via mainline services at Alton) 4 miles. See bus details for transfers to Hinton Ampner.
By bus
Winchester to Petersfield, via Alresford (passing close to Winchester and Alresford train stations and passing Petersfield train station). Number 67 Stagecoach bus (No Sunday service). Both east and westbound bus stops located within 5 minute walk of the main entrance.
By bicycle
Arrival from main entrance gates on A272, via the visitor reception.
Arrival time
To avoid obstructing traffic please do not arrive before 9:40 am.

House
After a fire in 1960, the House was rebuilt by its last owner, Ralph Dutton. Beautifully proportioned rooms which house a collection of ceramics and art. The ground floor is open every day.

The house was lovingly rebuilt by its last owner, Ralph Dutton, after a catastrophic fire in 1960. Enjoy the beautifully proportioned rooms which house his exquisite collection of ceramics and art, each window offering undisturbed views to the tranquil countryside beyond.
