Beatrix Potter's Dolls' House - up close
Take this unique opportunity to see Beatrix Potter’s dolls’ house and contents up close in the Conservation Studio at Knole.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
During this drop-in session you can see the dolls’ house from Hill Top, Beatrix Potter’s retreat in the Lake District, up close. Talk to experts about the conservation work and find out more about the house and the interesting objects inside, some of which feature in Beatrix Potter’s famous illustrated books, such as The Tale of Two Bad Mice.
During this hour you can meet Felicity, Objects Conservator at the Royal Oak Foundation Conservation Studio, and Katy Canales, Property Curator at Hill Top.
From 12-1pm there are 20 spaces at a time available, so we will be operating a queuing system if necessary. The dolls’ house will be on display in the studio during its normal opening hours, 11am-4pm.
