'Curtain Up': Christmas at Scotney (23 Nov-5 Jan**)
Escape reality with a visit to Scotney this Christmas and step into a glittering world of performance, entertainment and nostalgia ...
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Explore the rooms in Scotney's mansion house, transformed into a cinematic storybook of Christmas fun and sparkle. Using items from Scotney's extensive collection as inspiration, you'll be treated to a visual festive feast - via popcorn-garlanded Christmas trees in the main hall and the 'tutu' tree in the ballet-themed room, you'll journey from the sophistication of a night at the opera to the creative chaos of the Mad Hatter's Christmas Dinner. Perfect for friends and families of all ages.
Other Christmas activities include 'Late Nights and Lights' events on selected dates in December (see separate listing for details). For younger visitors, there's Santa's letter-writing station in the main shop while all the family will enjoy exploring the garden with our festive outdoor trail. Older visitors can find a perfect 'Secret Santa' with a mystery purchase in the second-hand book shop, and there are weekday Christmas lunches for a pre-Christmas catch-up with family and friends you may not see over the holiday (must be booked in advance).
You'll find details of our Christmas activities here: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/kent/scotney-castle/christmas-at-scotney-castle
As our car park is very small, please book your parking in advance to guarantee entry. ** Please note the whole site is closed on 24 and 25 December.
