Summer of Play at Sissinghurst Castle Garden
Join us for a Summer of Play at Sissinghurst Castle Garden with an Elizabethan twist.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Dive into Summer of Play at Sissinghurst Castle Garden.
Explore a range of lawn games on the plain including archery, hobby horses, skittles and hoopla. Roll "cannonballs" to attack the wooden castle and wave ribbons in victory.
Get creative in the Oast Exhibition Space with different craft activities over the course of the summer including making your own Fox and Geese game boards (20th July - 4th August), drawing a self-portrait inspired by the garden (5th August - 18th August), and creating designs based on graffiti left by prisoners at Sissinghurst during the Seven Years War (19th August - 1st September).
Meanwhile, in the Vegetable Garden, toss bean bags through pest-shaped holes to save the vegetables from being eaten.
Summer of Play is sponsored by Starling Bank.
