Summer of Play at Smallhythe Place
Dress up, perform and play at Smallhythe Place this summer.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Step into the limelight this summer with a range of activities that will get your creative juices flowing and performing your very own mini shows.
Choose between taking centre stage yourself or test your puppetry skills with our range of hand puppets.
Prepare to meet your adoring audience in our backstage area under the cow byre next to the main house. Rummage through our costumes and pick your perfect outfit. Create a scene to perform and when you're ready, head to Puppet Theatre or The Rose Theatre (aka the gazebo at the end of the garden).
But the fun doesn't stop there. Play games on the tennis lawn and around the Barn Theatre, with skittles, hoopla and croquet on offer.
