Summer of Play - Bug Hunts

Come and join us in the colourful chalk meadows and search for bugs. Find butterflies, beetles, moths, bees, caterpillars and many more. We'll play some games and you can make a badge of your favourite bug to take home.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

We've masses of wildlife in our lovely chalk meadows behind the White Cliffs of Dover - and you can find it - if you know where to look. Join our friendly ecologist, Mel, for 90 minutes of fun activities in the fields at Foxhill Down, near the Visitor Centre, to discover what lives hidden in the grass and the bushes. There are butterflies, day-flying moths, beetles, caterpillars, bees, birds, flowers, and many more. Mel will identify them for you and tell you more about them. We'll play some games and you can make a badge of your favourite bug to take home.
