Summer of Play
Absorb little ones in the nature and beauty of Acorn Bank this summer.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Take a self-guided nature trail and use the rubbing plaques to discover the flora and fauna of Acorn Bank's walled garden and woodland. Each plaque showcases the flora and fauna of Acorn Bank.
The trail will reveal the fairy houses and soundscape installations in the woodland, and the dolls' vegetable garden in the walled garden.
Once you've completed the trail, you'll find traditional games to play at the front of the House and on the ha-ha. Plus, the woodland and gardens are great for ticking off a few items on your '50 Things' list, from getting to know a tree to discovering what’s in a pond.
Discover more about wildlife and nature here with a free toolkit, available from the Shepherd’s Hut when you arrive. Toolkits include a variety of spotter sheets, magnifying glasses, mirrors to look underneath things, tape measures and clickers.
