Balsam Bashing volunteer day
Help us tackle this invasive species in Elterwater.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
Make a difference by coming along to this day run by our Ranger team. You'll be pulling the balsam out of the ground before the seed pods ripen, helping to reduce the spread of the plant in the area. No experience necessary and you don't need to be a National Trust volunteer. No need to book, just turn up on the day.
We'll meet at the National Trust Elterwater car park at 9.45am. If arriving by car please allow enough time to park.
To reduce car use we'd encourage you to use the 516 bus where possible. It runs through the village, get off at the Britannia Inn stop.
