Join us this year on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September to celebrate Heritage Open Day and discover why drainage mills are an iconic architecture of the Norfolk Broads landscape and how they played an important part in keeping the land dry. While the buildings themselves are not used today, several still remain intact after a lot of love and care, with Horsey Windpump being one of them.
Horsey Windpump is one of the youngest mills in The Broads, but in her short lifespan, she has endured much hardship. For two days, visitors will get the opportunity to explore the building for free and discover the story of her survival.
While admission into the windpump is free, car park charges still apply.
