Bike maintenance 101 (1.30pm-2.45pm)

Learn all about the basics of maintaining your own bike. Limited spaces, sign up for this activity in person on the day.

Q&A with an expert (3pm-4.45pm)

Learn more about puncture repair, route planning and much more with an expert. No booking required, drop in.

Try a bike! (1.30pm-4.45pm)

Try out an unusual bike! E-bikes, tandems, trikes and more…

There are also two Family Fun Cycles happening during the afternoon from Gibside, please see individual event pages for more information and booking.

Please note cycling on the paths around Gibside is not permitted. All activities are free, but normal admission to Gibside applies.

This activity is part of the Tyne Derwent Way Summer of Cycling. The Tyne Derwent Way is a nine-mile green corridor that connects natural green space and important cultural and heritage sites all the way from St Mary’s Heritage Centre in Gateshead to Gibside. Come along to find out more.
