A morning of outdoor games and activities for children and young people aged 6-19 years with SEND and their families.

Have a go at a variety of games and activities, including boccia - a game related to bowls and petanque which tests precision and accuracy. At a Paralympic level the sport is designed for athletes with severe physical disabilities. However, boccia is played and enjoyed by people of all abilities.
This is a free event, but please book your place.
Smile Through Sport is a North East based disability sport charity. It was founded by Paralympian Stephen Miller MBE to provide events, sessions and education to improve the health and wellbeing of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities throughout the North East of England. They provide a range of services for organisations, individuals and families.

Suitable for age 6-19. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
- Meeting point
Find the fun in the Foghorn Field.
- What to bring and wear
Wear comfy clothing and sensible shoes e.g. trainers. Please be aware, the ground might be muddy.
- Accessibility
This session is designed for children and young people with SEND. There is level access to Foghorn Field; follow the tarmac path from the main car park towards the lighthouse, then turn right before first green entrance gate and enter through the further gate, which has 820mm clear open width into the field.
