Escape to Castle Ward National Trust this summer for the "Summer of Play" event! From 6 July to 26 August, children and families can embrace the spirit of play across our estate!
Our event features five dedicated activity zones: Performance Play, Loose Parts Play, Creative Play, Active Play, and Toddler + Soft Play. Each zone is designed to ignite imagination and foster creativity. Enjoy theatrical flair in the Performance Play area, build and invent in Loose Parts Play, and explore artistic projects in Creative Play. Active Play offers sports and physical challenges, while Toddler + Soft Play ensures fun for the youngest adventurers. Additionally, a quiet space is available for those who need a peaceful retreat. Create cherished memories with a variety of engaging activities and educational workshops. Join us at Castle Ward’s Summer of Play for an unforgettable adventure!

Dress for the outdoors in appropriate footwear. Please check the weather forecast before going out, and dress appropriately.

The event will be held down a steep hill. We have mobility scooters which can be used by guests, which will be given out on a first-come first-serve basis.
