From July 6 to August 26, Castle Ward transforms into a vibrant playground for Summer of Play where you can enjoy our five play zones. Prepare to let loose, unleash your creativity, and embark on an unforgettable journey filled with laughter, exploration, and cherished memories.

In the Loose Parts Play area, kids can tinker, create, and challenge their minds with a Den Kit, Weighing Set, Builders Yard, and a giant chess set. It's a realm where imagination knows no bounds, and every piece holds the promise of endless possibilities.

For the little explorers and budding scientists, the Nature Zone awaits, featuring a mesmerizing array of wonders. From wormeries to bug hotels, animal stilts to microscopes, there's a world of discovery waiting to be explored. And don't miss the surprise activity in the house, inspired by the legacy of Mary Ward, an esteemed scientist and naturalist.

Nestled under a teepee, the Performance Zone beckons with the promise of rhythm and movement. Here, kids can play the drums, perform on a stage, dance around the maypole, and immerse themselves in living history performance displays.

In the green space, a world of outdoor adventures awaits. From a temporary rugby pitch to archery, basketball to bean bag toss, there's no shortage of thrills to be had. And for the little ones, a soft play area ensures even the tiniest tots can join in the fun.

Amidst the hustle and bustle, those in need of a moment of calm can find respite in the temporary Quiet Space. Here, surrounded by fidget toys, calm bags, noise-canceling headphones, and beanbags, guests can unwind and recharge before diving back into the excitement.
